Monthly Tuition

Tuition for the first month is due at registration. Continuing monthly tuition is due the last lesson of each current month for the following month. We do not invoice by mail. You will receive a monthly receipt for payment. All students are expected to pay on a monthly tuition basis.

Missed Lessons and Make-ups

We have noticed from our years of experience in teaching that excessive absences have a negative affect on a student's performance [application, retention, practice.]. However, we are aware that a student is unable to make each and every lesson during the year. For this reason, you will receive 4 free lessons per calendar year. Each quarter there is a month where there are 5 lessons in the month instead of 4. These are the lessons that you receive for free as a replacement for missed lessons. Each missed lesson beyond the make-up limit [4 lessons] entitles the student to a make-up seminar only [see "Make-Up Seminars" for more info]. Private make-up lessons are not offered for student cancellations. Missed classes entitle the student to a make-up seminar or a free class in any session in progress.

Payment

We accept Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover. Please make all checks out to: A Touch of Music, Inc.

Auto-Payment

Monthly tuition is debited or charged to a checking or saving account, or credit card, automatically. Most of our students find this form of payment the easiest. Since this type of payment saves us money and helps to simplify our bookkeeping, auto-payment fees are cheaper and we prefer this type of payment.

Late Fees

All non-auto-payments received after the 10 th of the month will incur a $5.00 late charge . Auto-pay payments will be charged a $30 fee for insufficient funds. If you know that you will not be in for lessons before the 10 th of the month, please drop off your payment at the studio or mail your payment to:

A Touch of Music, Inc., 521 Sicklerville Road , Sicklerville , NJ 08081

The Studio Director will not waive any late charges. The student is subject to automatic removal from schedule without notice , if tuition is not paid by the 2 nd lesson of each month. To be reinstated, payment must be made in full including all missed lessons, late fees, and payment for the following month. Students are also subject to automatic and immediate removal from schedule if they do not attend lessons for 2 weeks in a row and payment has not been paid for the current month.

Holidays

If your scheduled lesson falls on an observed holiday by A Touch of Music Performing Arts Studio, you will be offered the choice of a private make-up lesson or a make-up seminar [see "Make-Up Seminars" for more info].

Observed holidays are:

New Years Day

Unscheduled Absences

Please notify the Studio Director as soon as possible if you know that you are going to be absent. You will still be charged for that lesson regardless of the reason for the absence. Remember that you are receiving 4 free lessons per calendar year. For this reason, there will be no credits given and no make-up lesson offered. Each missed lesson beyond the make-up limit [4 lessons] entitles the student to a make-up seminar only [see "Make-Up Seminars" for more info]. Private make-up lessons are not offered for student cancellations.

Scheduled Absences

Students are entitled to 2 lessons per calendar year that can be made-up with a private lesson or a make-up seminar, and can be used at the student's discretion. Missed classes entitle the student to a make-up seminar or a free class in any session in progress. You must notify the Studio Director at least two weeks before the planned absence. You must be a student with the studio for at least 3 months before you are entitled to this privilege. Students may use these free lessons for vacation time, or any other special occasion.

Teacher Absences

If the studio has to cancel the students lesson for any reason, all attempts will be made to provide a substitute teacher. If a substitute teacher is not available, the student will be given the choice of a private make-up or a make-up seminar.

Inclement Weather

When lessons are canceled due to inclement weather, the Studio coordinator will notify you. The student will be given the choice of a private make-up or a make-up seminar. If there is any doubt that your lesson might be canceled and you have not been contacted, do not hesitate to contact the Studio to be sure.

Make-up Seminars

Are one hour group classes that are scheduled through-out on various subjects such as:

Auditioning, Acting a Song, Music Theory, Choir, Vocal Basics, & Acting Exercises.

Students may register for any of these seminars through-out the year as a make-up for missed private lessons due to student cancellation [only for those lessons that exceed the 4 free lessons], vacation days, studio cancellations, holidays, & missed group classes.

Removal from Schedule

Students are responsible for any or all lessons, on a monthly basis, whether he/she attends the lessons or not, for as long as he/she remains on the schedule. If a student wishes to discontinue lessons, you must inform the Studio Director as soon as possible, to prevent any additional tuition fees charged to you. A student may discontinue lesson at any time, but will not be reimbursed any tuition fees if the

lessons are terminated during the month.
